Phuket trip 2018: Part 1

Our 2018 starts with a very positive vibe -- Travelling to Asia together with my love :)

Basically South East Asia lol, or more specifically Malaysia and Thailand.

Having been living in England for a few good years, I bet SUN is the most craving thing we wanted so badly so we decided to go to a paradise like Phuket !

So to boost up our Malaysia trip, other than meeting friends and family, we decided to go to this beautiful island in Thailand.

Didn't even hesitate to book the flight tickets and accommodation when we did research for this trip in Birmingham.

Day 1 Phuket town and Patong beach

Our accommodation was located at Phuket town, so on first half day we were just wandering on the streets in Phuket town. Exploring the island town.

Amphoe Mueang Phuket

Wasn't sure if it was just me or.... ? I feel Phuket is quite similar to Penang in term of the size of the island, where there is a town centre, then different beaches and jetties.

Also, seems like motorbikes are a very popular transportation mean on this beautiful island! There are MORE motorbikes than cars! You can literally go to anywhere u want in a motorbike, how convenient!

The revamp of old buildings with bright colour gives more positive energy to this island, looking more old-school style!

All the way we walked, there are quite some newly revamped buildings that stand out among all the other small, old buildings!

I guess sometimes, a little difference among the similarities makes the town look more diversified, vibrant.

SO finally after a few hours of walking under the big sun, I guess we had done a pretty intensive town exploring! lol

Imagine how hot it could be, given that we had our backpacks on the back, definitely sweating a lot!

(Determination is important when you decide to walk on your foot in a super hot weather with a burning sun!)

Patong Beach

Here we go!

To the beach that "everyone-will-go" on Phuket island.

Just to feel more blended in with the local motorbike culture, we rented a cute pinkie motorbike for the day. 250 baht for the whole day, instead of 600 baht for a single taxi trip to Patong beach, WHY NOT?

Following the Patong signboard on the highway, it is supposedly a 30 min's motorbike journey from Phuket town.

But we both seemed to get confused with the direction of the signboard, so we kind of get lost and took us half an hour longer to reach Patong beach.

Desperate for beach for such a long time, we were like two jumping, excited kids when we reached there! aha

Quite a number of water activities available on the beach, but we preferred to do sunbathing and dip ourselves in the seawater!

Just can't wait to get tanned, Tanned, TANNED....

Guess it is a very replenishing trip in Patong beach for me, just to get myself relaxed and chilled, doing things casually, watching other beach-lovers to jump into the sea and have fun. Easy day!

Here are definitely our favourite part of the trip! COCONUT WATER!

How can you not include coconut in a replenishing beach trip? Doesn't make sense if coconut is not there!

Totally freshened up myself with the very refreshing taste and scent of Thai coconut! I could drink coconut water for the whole day! That's exactly how much I love coconut!

Take a look at these big loads of coconuts! It just made my day! lol

Found a quiet spot to lie down and start soaking up in the sun!

It was just blissful to have clear blue sky with warm sun!

Drinking coconut water on the beach, lying on the beach, thinking nothing, doing nothing... Simple but happy!

Can't swim, but still enjoy soaking myself in the sea water!

Replenishing day! After long hours of flight from Birmingham to Kuala Lumpur, then to Phuket, this was the time we finally got some proper rest and recover!

Just feel the sound of waves hitting the shore is very soothing...

(To be continued..)
